Q: I love the way one of my favorite authors writes but I find it hard to do the same. How can I improve on my writing to be more like theirs?
A: First and foremost, your favorite author has their own writing style and it’s important to find your own writing style. It’s not a bad idea to learn from how others write or even if there are certain habits they do that help their writing. It's the same reason that many writers love to read, its not only entertaining it's the best way to learn how to format your writing. It is important to develop your own writing habits. If your reader wanted a book written similar to the other author then they will pick a book by that person. Someday someone will look at your writing and wonder how they can write the way you do.
